If US President Donald Trump introduces tariffs on cars, it will cost 3,900 people their jobs in Sweden. The lesson learned from the recently introduced steel tariffs is that it is important to strike back, according to Trade Minister Ann Linde (S).
The trade minister has ordered an analysis from the World Trade Institute at the University of Bern in Switzerland, which shows the effects car tariffs would have on Swedish industry.
The report also shows that the steel tariffs brought in at the start of the summer could cost 800 jobs in the Swedish steel industry.
