Exports of Swedish fashion brands have increased by 90 per cent in the past seven years, according to a Volante Research report, produced on behalf of the Swedish Fashion Council.
The Swedish fashion trade’s turnover amounted to SEK 326 billion in 2017, an increase of 4.6 per cent on the previous year. One-third of the fashion is sold in Sweden, the rest overseas. H&M, which accounts for 61 per cent of the Swedish fashion market, exports 96 per cent of its products.
